Luna Mexicana celebrates the iconic Mexican holiday, El Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) with colorful costumes, vibrant music and festive dancing. In Luna Mexicana, a young woman dreams back to life relatives and friends – teetering skeletons, skirt swishing girls, a high flying “deer dancer” and a deathly Bride and Groom. Luna Mexicana is a 45 minute program that begins with a performance by our very own PUSD Mariachi “Estrella del Pueblo” followed by the ballet performance of “Luna Mexicana.
