8th Grade Promotion Ceremony Information

8th Grade Panther Families-

We look forward to seeing everyone at the PMS 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony on

Thursday, June 1st from 7:00-8:00pm at Foothill High School in the stadium (football field).

Attire: Students do not wear a cap and gown and there are no dress requirements, however typically students dress up for the occasion in appropriate dress wear to include slacks, button downs, collared shirts, skirts and/or dresses. Please no stilettos as this will damage the stadium turf; wedge shoes are welcomed.

Parking: Parking is limited and carpool is strongly encouraged. Families and guests should park in the General Parking lot to the right of the school and on streets neighboring the school. Please be mindful and respectful to residents in the FHS neighborhood. Promotion Parking 

Arrival: Promoting 8th Grade students need to arrive at the FHS football field at 6:15pm. They will enter the stadium through a gate on the left side of the stadium building and look for your 4th period teacher on the field. Students will begin procession into their chairs at approximately 6:45pm to begin the ceremony promptly at 7:00pm. Guests will enter the main stadium gates entrance. Please note: Hart MS will be holding their promotion ceremony at FHS from 5:00-6:00pm. Please do not arrive any earlier than 6:15 as there will be limited parking.

Seating: There is no limit to the number of guests per family, however we request families be mindful of parking limitations. No tickets are required for admission. Gates will open at 6:15pm and guests will seat themselves on a first come, first served basis. Guest seating will be in chairs on the field behind our promoting 8th graders and in the bleachers. Ceremony will begin promptly at 7:00pm. We expect the ceremony to last 60 minutes. Promotion Seating

Weather & Water Sales: Shade is limited and it can be windy. Please dress accordingly. We will be selling water for $1.00 (cash only) to fundraise for our ASB Field Trip Scholarship Fund.
