Board Approves Four Day Per Week In-Person Hybrid Schedule for Middle & High School Students

As you are likely aware, two significant shifts occurred since my last communication. First, the California Department of Public Health and the Alameda County Public Health Department have adopted the Centers for Disease Control’s 3-foot recommendations for student distancing. Second, Alameda County has entered the Orange Tier on the State’s COVID Dashboard. Both of these enabled us to consider ways to increase access to in person learning for our hybrid learners.

At the April 1 Special Board meeting, the Trustees approved to increase secondary students' time on campus to four days each week. Up to this point, students have been attending as either Group A (Mondays and Tuesdays) or Group B (Thursdays and Fridays). Beginning on April 19th, both Group A and B will attend classes on campus for all four days. The schedule for Wednesdays will continue unchanged. Our Panther bell schedule link is now updated. Hybrid A & B may now attend live on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
