CALLING HOME

The Attendance phone and/or Health Office phone may only be used if a student is ill or has another emergency. Students are not allowed to call or text their parents on their cell phone unless the come to the Main Office first. Students will not be allowed to leave class for the purpose of making phone calls to retrieve items forgotten at home.

CELL PHONES

Cell phones may only be used in a classroom with teacher permission otherwise students must be sitting at a Tech Bench during lunch periods, in order to use their phone. Cell phones are not to be used to call (see above), take pictures, videos, or access social media during school hours. Cell phones must not be used during transition times between classes. All cell phones must be turned off and kept in student backpacks, not in clothes pockets. If a student violates these cell phone expectations:

1st Time Violation: A verbal warning/reminder will be given by staff.

2nd Time Violation: A referral is written and the cell phone is confiscated and held in school office until a parent/guardian picks it up.

3rd Time Violation: A referral is written, the cell phone is confiscated and held in school office until a parent/guardian picks it up. Student must check in their cell phone each day at 8:30 a.m. and pick up at 3:05 p.m. for the rest of the semester.

It is a privilege to have a phone at school, not an expectation.
